What I loved about this chic desert elopement in Joshua Tree was that they took their dream of a national park elopement and made it their own. I think it is common for people to associate national park elopements with immediately having to be adventurous in the rugged, unconventional sense. They absolutely can be, but the purpose and truth behind having an intentional wedding is getting to create an experience that truly reflects you as individuals and a couple. Erika and Max nailed it.
Their sense of style and personality shone through their details while still capturing their love for the national park. Erika’s whimsical Theia Couture veil, Max’s champagne tribute to his French roots, as well as their dog’s special appearance were nice personal touches. Their wonderful family ventured from throughout the world to be at their day. Coordinating lounge sets and bolo ties, trendy coup glasses with velvet ribbon, and a stunning emerald cut engagement ring made this day an unexpectedly chic desert elopement.
My name is Sydney, and I'm a destination wedding and elopement photographer based out of Austin, Texas. I love to capture timeless, creative, and emotional photographs for couples who are craving an intimate, modern, and intentional wedding experience. Beyond photographing, I love to assist eloping couples in their travel and planning to make their day relaxing and enjoyable.
