Rainy Joshua Tree National Park Engagement Session
Joshua Tree Engagement Photographer
An unexpected storm created such a cool and unique experience for Josh and Niki’s rainy Joshua Tree National Park engagement session. Cloudy skies aren’t that common here in the desert, so it was quite the surprise when we experienced rain and even witnessed some lightning. “Bad” weather can often be seen as a negative thing when it comes to taking photos, but really it gave me the chance embrace the rain and be creative. Josh and Niki were an awesome, laid back couple who were down for anything and were the ones to suggest we begin their session at their Airbnb. Their Joshua Tree Airbnb engagement pictures are some of my favorites from the session–the house felt like a studio with its large windows. We enjoyed was how much it connected us to the outdoors.
After taking engagement photos at their Joshua Tree Airbnb, we headed into Joshua Tree National Park. We were racing against the weather and remained hopeful that the rain and wind wouldn’t get too wild. We sat out some of the lightning and once it passed, we got some beautiful images in the storm. Cheers J & N!
